Paste traditional Chinese characters on the remote computer is garbled !

Hi Rick,
thanks for the report. Current version of ViewerX doesn't properly support copy/paste of double-byte characters. This is something that we are planning to fix very soon.

Actually I do. The problem turned out to be more complicated than I initially assumed. The good news that we are reimplementing how ViewerX transfers clipboard data. Now it will support unicode data. ViewerX will receive this update first, followed by ServerX. It shall be ready by the end of the next week.

Hi,
just wanted to let you know that we finished implementing support for Unicode clipboard in ViewerX. We are planning to release a new build of ViewerX next week.

Thanks for your hard work, and nice to see the new version on next week.

Rick,
would you be interested in testing pre-release build of ViewerX? Just to be sure that it works as expected in your environment?

No problem, I'd love to !

The ZIP file contains 32 and 64 bit builds of ViewerX. Thank you for your help!

Continues to be garbled! what debug information that you need?

What VNC server is running on the remote side, ServerX or native UltraVNC? It has to be native UltraVNC, since ServerX hasn't been updated yet.

Also make sure you registered the new dlls via regsvr32.exe. Chances are, if you haven't registered a new dll, your software is still using the previous version of ViewerX.

I'm testing it right now, and I'm able to copy/paste Chinese text just fine.

Well, you need to update ServerX to support multi-bytes characters language for the copy-paste feature, so that I can verify it is work or not.

Hi Rick,
we are going to update ServerX as well. But this particular thread was about ViewerX not supporting Unicode clipboard and with the latest release it does.

OK.

I had try viewerX 3.6.1.0 with UltraVNC 1.2.0.3 , the copy-paste chinese characters can work now.

So, Would I need to ServerX-Bug Report forum to post the same issue again ?

Hi Rick, there is no need. I've already added support for Unicode clipboard to our ServerX product backlog.
