When I use the chat function in VNC Mgr. its identfication of me as the sender is cryptic. It looks usable on my end but at the recipient's screen it gives an IP address.



When they respond back to me, they are identified by the name assigned them in VNC Mgr.



Is there something in the configuration I can set to control the ID?

I've tested UltraVNC chat and it behaves exactly the same way using native UltraVNC client. Looks like the functionality of the chat needs to be fixed on UltraVNC Server side. I'll try to follow-up with the maintainer of UltraVNC code.
