It would be handy if you could select one or more entries in VNC Manager and then have an always available button to "Check VNC Server Status". Currently you have through "All Tasks" and then "Check VNC Server Status" do that now.

Sure. Since this is very minor change it will be included in a final 2.5 build.
It will be implemented as a keyboard shortcut.
