We would like to be able to add comments in for some computers.

IE: "Sensitive HR/Payroll information. Call user before remote controlling."

But why don't you user Description field for that purpose?

By the way, we are planning to implement Computer Inventory feature in v3.0, which will allow you to keep track of computer hardware, software and of some other params.

That's a good idea. However that list can be seen by everyone in the company. It isn't good practice to show sensitive information to the general employee public. We sometime have users that "test" the limits of our security.

There was once an incident 5 years ago, that I won't go into in detail but lets just say Salary Histories were revealed.

I'm not sure what we can add to protect such sencetive data. The server list is stored under yoru user profile folder, so it's basically cannot be accesed by other users.
If you don't want this information to be seen by someone standing next to you, you can remove Description column from the servers list.

Any ideas what else can be done?

I must have misunderstood you. I thought you meant to put the information into the Active Directory's Computer description. You're actually telling me that there is a description in the program itself.

I was looking for a description in the network scan tab. That's what we use mostly.

I'll go look at it. Thanks!
