SmartCode Manager would be great if it used the chat feature with Ultra VNC. Another feature that would improve SmartCode would be the ability to push web page. If the chat feature could be tied into SmartCode so I could put a link on my web site for users that need help, that would be great.

Sometime ago we decided that we are not going to implement UltraVNC chat feature. Because we felt that there are too many IM/chat clients are available.
But we have been asked so many times about this feature that seems like it will be included in 2.5.x or in 3.0 release.

Pushing web pages requires modifications in VNC server code too. Until we start shipping some modified VNC server edition (actually we have some plans to do it) this feature won't be included in VNC Manager.

I don't think that it will be supported ever. PalmVNC is supposed to run on PalmOS based devices, while VNC Manager can run on Windows only.

In your most recent version announcement, it says you are planning to support the chat feature in 3.0.  I hope that's not a typo!    The chat feature would be awesome! (like, totally.  Been playing GTA:  Vice City too much.  80s flashbacks)

What about the encryption plugin for ultravnc?  I had asked in the php forums about that, and you said that was something you would probably be adding in 2.5 or 3.  Is that still on track?  That would be a guaranteed sale for us.    Not that I mean to nag, but I've noticed your changes seem to be largely customer-request driven, so, you know... wanna keep it in the forefront of your mind as our #1 request, for what it's worth.

Thanks for the great product!

No that's not a typo.  In fact we are not planning but already supporting UltraVNC chat it in v3.0 code base.

I'm not certain about DSM plug-in though. It may or may not be included in this release.

Yes, but for now we are not going to publish it. You can take a look the following post, which has list of features already implemented in 3.0 branch:

I think the features list will be available when we release a v3.0 beta.

That is fine... I am glad to hear that you aren't going to be publishing them but keep up the good work since this is something that we all need and I know that your product is the best on the internet and and I look foward for you to implement the features of UltraVNC and everthing that it includes. I would also look at bundling up the encription plugins for ultravnc and as many as you can bundle for extensive features.
