I am currently running VNC Manager v2.5.73.0. When I scan the network, it still cannot detect VNC running on XP Pro SP2 pcs. What's the current status on this problem? Thanks.

Well, I don't think it is completely fixed. This has been a problem for every company that does network scanning like this. I believe we are still trying out different ideas and trust me this is on the top of our list of bugs to fix. Our next step I believe is to go to Redmond and give those guys a nice shalacking.

Bob, the problem and workaround has been discussed in the following topic: http://www.s-code.com/forum/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=5&MessageID=108
In short, there are two possible solutions: hard one: it appears that you actually can setup your network adapter to remove the limitation introduced in SP2. But this process is way to hard. There is a document with instructions available on Microsoft's site. easy one: install modified tcpip.sys driver and that's it. Many our customers did it and live happily ever after.
