After scanning a registered computers group for updated mac addresses using the scan query, the updated addreses show up in smart code manager but after closing manager and reopening they get reset back to all the same mac address? It seems that the database somehow is not being updated with the new mac address info of the newly scanned computers.

This is indeed a bug in the current release. To workaround it, please use the Manager \ Save Current Configuration command or open a registered computer properties window and then close it by clicking on the OK button.
The bug should be fixed in one of the upcoming builds.
