I just observed some odd behavior in VNC Mgr. (v5.0.15.0).
I've noticed on several of Win 2000 Pro workstations, if I have the SmartCode distribution of UVNC (1.0.6.4 and now 1.0.8.0), the "Detect Installed VNC Distribution" fails with the error message "The remote procedure call failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BE). However, if I uninstall the SmartCode distribution and install using the v1.0.8.0 installer from UltraVNC.org, detection works fine.
I have not observed this on WinXP Pro.

Hi Bob,
I couldn't reproduce this problem. The detection works on our W2K test computer here.
 Are you able to reproduce this problem on more than one W2K installation or it's just one particular PC that gives you this problem?
