Sometimes my servers stop up and you have to locally re-boot them for them to comeback online. Is there some type of script on the web or something that will run that if someting isn't pingable then the computer will automically restart?

How do they stop up? Is there an easy way to check to see if the computer is stopped up? Does using the remote reboot from VNC Manager not work?

I really don't know why my server freezes up sometimes.... But it is nice for IIS to work properly but after it is frozen the VNC remote reboot dosen't work becuase I can't get to the computer I can't even ping it. So I was wondering if there is a program that would reside on the server that would maintain things and it would stay alert and if the system can't ping or iis stops working then it will automacially reboot the server.

If you were on that server when it is not working can you get out to the internet? Or does IIS just stop working? So if the server could not ping lets say www.yahoo.com then you would want it to reboot? Does this sound correct?

Here is a script that should do it. Let me explain what it does. It will ping www.yahoo.com and if it doesn't get a reply it will ping www.msn.com. If it still doesn't get a reply it will restart the server. If after restart it still doesn't get a reply it closes itself so to not restart the server continually. If it gets a reply it will wait 10 minutes and try again.
If you want to set the time yourself you can run the program like this
Auto_Restart.exe 50
50 is the amount of seconds you want to wait. So in this case it is 50 seconds.
The computer will have to be logged in for this to work. Put it in the startup folder to start it everytime the computer is logged in.
Program is attached. There is absolutely 0 warranty on this product. I don't guarantee that it will work and there is no promise of support for it.
