| Exactly how am I supposed to import registered computers if the export uses comma or tab separated file, but the import uses an xml? I'm trying to load the registered computers from a 4.5 installation to 5.0 beta.

There are two ways to accomplish this task:- Use Manager -> Import / Export Registered Computers command.
Select the "Import from a registered computers file" setting. vnc_servers.xml files can be found at:
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\SmartCode Solutions\VNC Manager\ - You can simply copy vnc_servers.xml from one computer to another. You just copy the whole folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\SmartCode Solutions\VNC Manager\
