Error: The call was cancelled by the message filter. (Exception for HRESULT: 0x80010002 RPC_E_CALL_Computer)

Running VNC Manager 4.5.8.2. This happens on about 5% of my WINXPPRO machines, when running most computer management tasks. Any clue what might be causing this?

Hello,
it seems that these remote computers reject WMI calls (VNC Manager's management tools use WMI for remote management).

It could be your antivirus software that tries to block WMI calls. So could you try to disable antivirus and just in case firewall installed on the XP boxes and see if the problem is still reproducible.
