Because some smart guys in Microsoft for no apparent reason decided to change the COM API in the RDP control v6.1 released with Vista SP1.
The good news is that we already have a build with support for RDP v6.1 client specific features, console access included and this build is going to be released in a few days.Please note, that in case of connections to Windows Server 2008, there is no such thing as RDP console session. This is by design of Win 2008 server.
