We need VNC Manager for our clients, so they can monitor their PCs in LAN. However we want to limit the use to view only - they would not able to control PCs. We simply don't want they interfere with PC. They only can check the PC status (what is on the screen). Is such a mode possible ?

If I'm not mistaken UltraVNC server when configured to work in NTLM authentication mode allows to specifiy access rights for VNC clients. So you could setup VNC server so certain users would have "view-only" access while other would be able to assume full control of the PC.Take a look at the following FAQ - VNC Deployment Wizard: How to configure UltraVNC NTLM logon permissions? http://www.s-code.com/products/vncmanag/faq.aspx#uvncntlmedit
