I am trying to deploy the VNC server piece remotely on my network, but I'm running into a problem. Every machine I've tried it with errors out the same way. I am using the administrator account, so I know I have the privileges, and I know I have access to the ADMIN$ share on all of these machines. Here is the log that I get from the failed attempts:

Processing install tasks for JBFADMIN.
Installing VNC distribution: SmartCode RealVNC v4.x
Establishing connection to: \\JBFADMIN\C$
Return code: 0
Copying installation file to: \\JBFADMIN\C$\install_realvnc4.1.2.exe
Retrieving a local path for the share: C$
C:\
Starting installer.
Return code: 0
Checking uninstall registry value presence: Uninstall\{ECAC3EFD-60D9-40CD-828B-0E8D25D56EB8}
Failed to find the uninstall registry key. Assuming failed installation.
Finished processing install tasks.

Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated. It actually worked on another domain controller, which leads me to believe that it's not a GPO or firewall setting that is blocking the procedure.

Thanks for the reply. I sent the log file to that email address. At my first glance through the log it seems as if there is a problem relating to our mapped user folders being on a network share. Is this a known issue?

Actually it's more like a known feature of MSI engine. I've sent a reply via our support system with more information regarding this issue.
