I have all my servers set up with Public Key for SSH access. Since we don't yet have Terminal access through VNC Manager (soon though right ) I do have a couple of Severs that have X running on them. Public key works really really really well when it has been pre-established. I tried using the key generation and public key upload for a new server I set up. It seems like the upload function only supports Windows. Will it support Unix/Linux??

Will it support Unix/Linux??

We do want to add Unix/Linux upload support. Few years ago we implemented a project, which such functionality and it was possible to upload a public key from Windows to Linux computer. So we have the required experience. The problem is that at that time we used SCP to copy the public key. Nowadays SCP is considered deprecated and SFTP must be used instead.  So now we have to figure out how to use sftp for this task.

I think the easiest to implement would be the terminal client and then it would just be a cut and paste.

Sorry but I can't resist an oportunity to push for the terminal client.

If the session is set up to use public key and the key dos not exist on the remote server VNCManager locks up. I haven't let it go forever to see if it eventually times out. I will try tonight.

Thanks
