| I have a strange problem I've noticed for the last few weeks. When I make an initial connection to a VNC server, the view window doesn't show scrollbars (even though there is insufficient vertical space and part of the screen is cut off). Once I disconnect, I am able to reconnect and the scrollbars appear as they should.

1. Server resolution is 1024 x 768
2. VNC Manager workstation resolution is 1920 x 1200.
3. VNC software is UltraVNC 1.02 (as customized/deployed by VNC Manager)
I don't think the VNC software is the issue. In addition to UltraVNC, I use a StarTech.com IP KVM switch with a Linux-based VNC interface that exhibits the same problem.
This problem is intermittent, and I haven't pinned down any common factors. I will note that I use an IP PBX with a phone toolbar that is docked to the bottom of my screen just above the Windows taskbar. I don't know if that would cause some sort of error in calculating the client area.

| A problem that may be related: sometimes VNC Manager shows scrollbars where not required. I have a screenshot I will e-mail to demonstrate.

I've experience the missing scrollbars as well.
It doesn't seem to matter which version of VNC I use. I've seen it with RealVNC 3.3.7, 4.0 and 4.1 as well as UltraVNC 1.0.2. It doesn't seem to matter what screen resolution you have either. As long as the screen of the PC I want to access is larger than the window I have in VNC Manager, I have the problem.
I've learned that if I change the window size of VNC Manager, that will cause the scroll bars to materialize. If I'm in full screen, I just switch to a window and back to full screen and the scrollbars appear.
I noticed this problem when I updated to VNC Manager v3.6.21 and it's still here with v3.6.23.
