Hi,I upgraded to the beta and it knackered all my config. No passwords or usernames for my terminal services connections! Luckily I have uninstalled and re-installed 3.5.25 and used backup manager to restore my config. Many Thanks.

Could you please email content of the %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Smart Code folder to support@s-code.com so we could try to reproduce the problem? Please also indicate which particular registered computer has lost the credentials.Current beta doesn't migrate logon credentials associated with groups but it suppose to migrate credentials set in a registered computer properties.

The same thing happened for me. However, I kept my released 3.5 and installed 3.6 Beta with Altiris free SVS virtualization software which allows you to install new software and try it without touching the real file system and registry. This might help everyone to be more inclined to try the Beta since you lose your connection settings with the Beta and can always roll right back to the 3.5 version with ease. You can get SVS here: http://juice.altiris.com/download/870/svs-2-1-beta-1-for-personal-use

Hi ckpaulino, I just want to clarify that none of previous settings will be lost when migrating from v3.5, except for the group folder credentials. It’s just because registered computers are set to inherit from global settings by default might lead users to believe that their old settings were lost, which is not the case.
But in any case it might be a good idea to use svs when trialing a beta software.

I have a license for VNC Manager Standard Edition, but the Beta seems to be only Enterprise edition. Is there a Beta for standard?

fritz (2/8/2007) I have a license for VNC Manager Standard Edition, but the Beta seems to be only Enterprise edition. Is there a Beta for standard? We usualy release only the Ent. Ed. betas. So it's the same this time - only Ent. Ed. beta are going to be released. Anyway the final release of v3.6 is only a couple weeks away.
