I've used VNC Manager in the past, and I'm evaluating the new version.  I came back particularly because of the remote execution feature, which would come in handy for the computer lab where I teach (so will the blank remote screen feature of UltraVNC, if you ever incorporate that!).  I've solved a number of issues with connectivity, but I'm having troubles with Remote Execute Tool.  The example tools--ipconfig /all, and Show computer name--work fine, but when I try to launch, say, Notepad on a remote computer, it just hangs.  After several failed attempts, I noticed on the remote machine in the Task Manager that the process had started for notepad, but I wasn't seeing the app in the display.  Am I missing something?  Is this not possible?

I appreciate your help!

Jim

Current implementation of the Remote Exec feature doesn't allow to run processes that interact with user's desktop. That's why you can run Notepad and it does appear in the processes list but not visible on the desktop. This is by design at the moment. But support for launching interactive processes is going to be added in one of the upcoming builds.
