Is there any way you can perform actions in SmartCode VNC Manager (such as connecting to a remote computer management console, etc.) using different credentials than you are currently logged in with (on a domain)?

My account does not have domain admin rights per our IT setup, but we have access to the domain administrator account and it would be nice to not have to log off my account and back on as the domain administrator every time I wanted to use SmartCode VNC Manager.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Marc

You can try to run the Computer Manager via runas command. This can be done via External Tools. When creating an external tool use the following settings:

Command: runas.exe
Arguments: /profile /env /user:YOUR_ACCOUNT_NAME "mmc.exe %windir%\system2\compmgmt.msc"

Most of the commands in the VNC Manager, which don't involve launching of external application, does allow to specify connection credentials.
