I would like to see a dialog box asking to confirm remote control when double clicking a pc in the registered computers window. I frequently switch between windows, and end up rc'ing someone's PC by mistake when I click to active the VNCMmanager window. Of course users should be able to disable the dialog box, and most would, but for me this would be great. How about a option and hot-key for VNC view-only. I have investigated using the thumbnail option, but the screen size does not get large enough. This would also make a nice option to select for the double-click default.

Such confirmation dialog, might be useful for many users.

I'll add it to the Features requests list.

Any thoughts on the the view-only remote control session hot key and right click menu option?

I'm not so sure about the context menu, since it's already getting too large. So the hot-key implementation sounds more like it.

if view-only could be set as a default action, that would work good as well because the right click menu has the remote control option. Also, is it possible to make the default connection type be configured at the parent group folder level in a similar fashion to the logon settings? That way all terminal servers could be put in one folder, and all VNC servers in another folder?

Just a thought on the right click menu-since most people will have VNC remote control as the default double click on the computer object, could you do a cascading submenu from the Connect to VNC Server option on the right click menu:

Connect to VNC Server -> Remote Control Ctrl+Q
View Only Ctrl+V

since most people will simply double click for VNC remote control, this might make sense.

The menu will look slightly different in the v4.0. Fir instance right now it shows VNC, RDP, and VMRC commands even if a registered computer has only VNC or RDP server installed. So in the v4.0 in the registered computer properties a user will be able to specify what server software a registered computer has installed. So if only a VNC server is installed on this particular computer, then the context menu would have RDP and VMRC commands hidden. This way the context menu would be less obstructive and we sure will be able to add "Open view-only VNC viewer" command into it.

Would it be possible to put a "default connection type" tab on a folder and pass that setting to all the computers in the folder. For an enterprise with 20+ servers using RDP and 200+ workstations using VNC, this would be really helpful.
