Execute remote command using custom properties

Hello,

I am involved in firmware testing at my company and we have a large number of different tests that are to be tested on different machines. What would really help us out in this procedure is if we could use the custom properties as variables in various execute remote command tools. I haven't seen very much documentation regarding the custom properties usage in the knowledgebase or on the forums, is this feature already implemented?

Hi Greg,
I would say that you are right...the registered computers already support the custom properties feature; so we are half way there.

We are definitely going to implement this feature. I’m fairly certain it should appear in one of 5.0.XX builds around middle of December.
Just for your reference, the feature request number in our internal DB for this feature is 166.

PS: Keep that pressure on, it pushes us to make a better product :)

I know you guys have a lot on your plate right now, but this feature is very important to our test environment. The fact that your product has the ability to include multiple variables per computer was one of the main reasons that we chose this product over another VNC tool.

Since you already have the custom properties section set up, isn't the work for this already half done? Can you give an eta for this feature?

actually Greg is asking about totally different feature from what you suggested. hopefully both of your requests will be implemented soon :)

Not yet, we just haven't started working on this feature request yet. But this feature should be available in the 5.0 final build.

Hi Greg,
as for today custom properties are used by the External Tools only. It does sound like a good idea to have them supported by the Remote Tools. We will see what we can do about it.
