When I go to connect to the windows 7 32 bit pc it is SUPER sluggish at the login screen but once I am logged in its fine.

Anyone have any idea why it would be so sluggish just at the initial login screens? Its hard to enter the username and password because its so slow.

RE: Windows 7 sluggish to log in

You might want to give TightVNC 2.0 a try. TightVNC implemented their server from scratch and it might work faster than UltraVNC.

RE: Windows 7 sluggish to log in

Something to keep in mind. It's not really slow completely. It's just slow to update screen refreshes. If you can keyboard completely through the login, you can fly right in with no problems. You won't see much, but the login will occur.

RE: Windows 7 sluggish to log in

First of all please upgrade to the 5.0.18.0. It has a new VNC viewer component, which works faster and uses less CPU%.

I also recommend you to upgrade your VNC Server to the latest 1.0.8.2.
