(v5.0.15.0).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I've noticed on several of Win 2000 Pro workstations, if I have the SmartCode distribution of UVNC (1.0.6.4 and now 1.0.8.0), the "Detect Installed VNC Distribution" fails with the error message "The remote procedure call failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BE). However, if I uninstall the SmartCode distribution and install using the v1.0.8.0 installer from UltraVNC.org, detection works fine.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I have not observed this on WinXP Pro.</description><pubDate>Thu, 03 Dec 2009 18:26:08 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Bob Hartung</dc:creator></item><item><title>RE: Detect Installed VNC Distribution Problem</title><link>http://www.s-code.com/forum/FindPost2837.aspx</link><description>Hi Bob,&lt;BR&gt;I couldn't reproduce this problem. The detection works on our W2K test computer here.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;IMG src="http://www.s-code.com/forum/Uploads/Images/2885c371-3080-43ee-9d17-b6e5.png"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are you able to reproduce this problem on more than one W2K installation or it's just one particular PC that gives you this problem?</description><pubDate>Thu, 03 Dec 2009 18:26:08 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Support (s-code)</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
