Summary of the major new features in the v5.0 release (there are other minor features and echantements that were added to the v5.0 release)

Built-in Citrix ICA client.
RAdmin client
Built-in client - Web Browser. It allows to open a web browser as a tab inside the VNC Manager. The built-in web browser allows manage routers, firewalls and other devices through their web management interface.
Dynamic Search Folders: New network scan engine implementation that scans several times faster than the network scan in the previous VNC Manager versions
Dynamic Search Folders: Ability to discover Citrix ICA servers.
Ability to establish RDP connection to a Virtual Machine trough the Windows 2008 Hyper-V host computer
Thumbnails View for Microsoft Hyper-V Server Virtual Machines
Quick Filter: Ability to search sub-folders. This feature can be turned on or off.
WMI Query Manager allows you to access to the WMI properties of a computer and execute WMI methods.
Import and Export Registered Computers wizard.
VNC Thumbnails View: Support for multiple thumbnail tabs
When running in the “Time-interval” update mode, a thumbnail item can display a progress bar showing when the next screen refresh will occur.
Detect version (including the build number) of the installed VNC distribution. The scanner can detect if more than one VNC distribution is installed on a remote computer.
Installed Software Manager: Redesigned to support management of multiple computers using single window.
Task Manager: Redesigned to support management of multiple computers using single window.
Registry Editor: Redesigned to support management of multiple computers using single window.
Registry Editor: Ability to import registry file (.reg file) to multiple remote computers at once.

v5.0.1.0 - 04/06/09

NEW: Dynamic Search Folders: New network scan engine implementation that scans several times faster than the network scan in the previous VNC Manager versions.
NEW: WMI Query Manager allows you to access to the WMI properties of a computer and execute WMI methods.
NEW: Import and Export Registered Computers wizard.
NEW: External tools: ($WINDOWS_USERNAME) gets the user's Windows logon name without domain prefix.

The most important new feature in this build is the new network scan engine. Using the new version scanning a local subnet for VNC/RDP/SSH computers takes less than a minute. For comparison sake, the v4.5 takes 2-4 minutes to scan the same subnet.
By default, during scan, each Dynamic Search Folder (DSF) uses thread pool of 5 threads. The maximum number of threads is 20 and it can b changed via DSF properties sheet window. The same applies to the registered computers and the "Entire Network" status updater.

NEW: VNC Deployment Wizard: "Skip the post-installation validation step" setting has been added. Skipping the validation step can speedup VNC deployment by 10-30%
NEW: Quick Search can be repositioned to the left of the main window for faster access. This can be done via Tools\Options\Advanced\Registered Computers List settings page.

FIX: Authentication settings for Registered Computer \ SSH connection may be lost when you close and then open VNC Manager.
FIX: SSH/Telnet clients were always using 80 columns layout even when 132 columns were specified in a registered computer properties.
FIX: Start/Stop VNC Server form: The service browser combobox fails to fetch services list from a computer with terminal services (RDP) installed.

In this build, the registered computers context menu introduces stremlined Connect and Quick Connect submenus (the same applies to the corresponding toolbar buttons).
