In the service mode, VNC server works quite differently from the application mode. But why would you want to run in as a service? Basically the app just hosts the Server control. When the service starts I can connect and am prompted for the password (using basic UltraVNC client). However, the I am immediately disconnected without receiving an error message. I've only tested on Windows 2003 and Vista RC1 (5600). My best guess at this point is that maybe it needs to be running as a system service.
