Hi,
We are investigating a report from anther user that the Thumbnails uses way to much of CPU% and I'm wondering if the problems you are having are due to high CPU% also. Please run a simple test:
1) Add three computers to the thumbnails view
2) On the computers that has been added, run Windows Media player and open c:\windows\clock.avi. Let it run in a loop. Maximize the Windows Media Player window
3) Open the Task Manager on the computer with the VNC Manager
I'm interested to know how what CPU% usage by the VNC Manager process you will be seeing.
Also please change the encoding used from Tight to ZlibHex. The easiest way to do it is to open Tools->Options->Thumbnails View->VNC Thumbnails. Check the "Use default connection settings" checkbox. Then click on the Edit Settings button and change the encoding.
Does it make any difference CPU% wise?
PS: You don't need to delete all the files under the SmartCode Solutions\VNC Manager, just delete the vnc_thumbnailview.xml file.
