I have 7 dynamic search folders set up to scan each of our OUs for computer accounts. Until a synchronisation feature comes out for the My Registered Computers section, this is the best way I can do this I believe?

I have one of these folders set to retrieve MAC addresses (my local subnet only), and the rest not to.

When I run a network scan, VNC manager picks up the first active computer and puts it in the list, but for subsequent computers it does not - it even seems to overwrite the details (like the AD description field) for the first computer in the list (including retrieving a MAC address for DSFs that I have set it not to). End result is I only have a single listing in the DSF with incorrect information (MAC address & description). The name, address & IP are correct.

I also have a question/suggestion while I'm at it - is it possible to scan multiple OUs with a single DSF, or provide some sort of facility to do this? Our servers range through a variety of OUs, and even different domains.

I'm trying to reproduce this problem but so far everything seems to be working as it should. Please send content of the following folder:
"%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\SmartCode Solutions\VNC Manager\"
to support AT s-code.com We will try to reproduce the bug using your configuration file.

That's a good idea! I've added it to the feature requests list. We will try to add in the upcoming v4.1 update.

It's probably asking a bit, but It'd be great to have this kind of feature work over different domains with different credentials.

Also, have emailed my config data now.

It's probably asking a bit, but It'd be great to have this kind of feature work over different domains with different credentials.

Adding support for different AD in a single DSF would require substantial changes in the property sheet layout and would be out of scope of the 4.1 release. But we will keep this feature in mind (and in the features requests DB) as well.
