I really like the VNC Manager Program but...... I need some help getting it to work. I am not able to connect to all of the computers that I need to connect to. I am using UltraVNC. What do I need to do to make it work.

Most probably you have to configure something on a server side, or it might a routing issue. VNC Manager doesn't require any special configuration to connect to VNC server.

Are you getting any errors when trying to connect to an UltraVNC server?

Failed to connect to server. Is the message I get. Out of 14 computers I can connect to about 7. I have reinstalled VNC and it still does not work. Some of the computers do not show up on the scan and some I cannot connect to the VNC.

Thanks for your help.

Just to make sure that this is not a VNC Manager's issue try to use telnet to establish test connection to a VNC server.

open cmd.exe and type:

telnet  IP_OF_PC_WITH_VNC_SERVER  5900

If everything is OK and it's possible to establish connection to the server you will see RFB XXX.XXX text.

I got it to work by going into the Windows XP firewall settings and giving Ultra VNC exceptions. I had to do this on the clients and the manager computer. It works great
